Chapter 28 - The Only Home I've Known

• Dr Thorne has just left, he walked me through the routine he wants me to keep while we travel, which I plan to follow as precisely as possible, our bags are both waiting expectantly by the door, and Thomas has gone to notify Alpha and Luna of our departure.
• Dr. Thorne wished me luck for the future and told me kindly that I could call him anytime for any reason while slipping a piece of paper with his number on it into my hand. I thank him for all he has done for me, hoping he can hear in my voice how truly grateful I am for all he has done for me.
• Alpha Sven and Luna Lily come with Thomas to my room to wish us both farewell, Luna Lily gets a little teary eyed and blames it on allergies, but I am also finding our goodbye difficult, she has been a blessing these last weeks and leaving them all is hard, our future is unknown though promising and I am excited, but a part of me is so very sad to be leaving them, this pack has been my home, it is only the last year that was difficult, before that I have only happy memories and only a very small.number of moments to take with me. As Thomas is carrying our bags to the car Alpha hands me an envelope telling me not to open it until we have left the territory, I put this in my pocket with Dr Thorne number and pull them both into a hug, thanking them softly, tears clogging my throat and causing my voice to crack.
