Chapter 31 - Who Is She?

• I'm on border patrol tonight, paired with Daisy. She is the Beta's twin sister and we all grew up together in the Rival River Pack. There is Jack, our Alpha, he got handed the position when he was 21, he should have got it at 18 but since he hadnt found his mate they waited a while, but at 24 he still hasnt found her,, Dave, our Beta took the reins from his dad when Jack took the Alpha position, he also hasnt found his mate yet, none of us has, Brian the Delta and me we are all 24 and single, and hating it, we all long for our mates. I'm the Gamma of the pack i didnt inherit the role though, the previous gamma was childless, I earned the role by being loyal and by defeating all other applicants, originally I was just a warrior. not that there is anything wrong with being a warrior, but when I was handed the Gamma power l, I knew I was born for this role. Since Dave and Daisy are twins she was always there as well. Growing up, she always went out of her way to fit in with us lads, she climbed trees, she roughhoused with us, she would do any dare we could think up. I love her like I love the others. She is one of us, as we got older, she started acting more girly, not girly girly but girly enough to put a slight gap in our friendship, we couldn't discuss girls with her for example, or fight with her like we did with each other but she is still one of us.
• Anyway, I was watching the border with her, patrolling our section in intervals, when suddenly something inside me pulled me forward, not a physical pull but a kind of tugging sensation in my stomach that I couldn't ignore, so I didn't.
