Chapter 16 - Laying It Out There

• It has now been 4 weeks since my birthday, 3 weeks since the meeting with Alpha Sven and Luna Lily, and today we are meeting with them both to discuss our plans regarding my rejection of Beta Ace. We have had to wait a couple of weeks as Alpha Sven was called away for an emergency meeting in another pack, Luna Lily stayed behind this time knowing it would only be 2 weeks he was gone, and though she didn't say anything about it, I knew she stayed because of me. I didn't want to meet with Luna Lily before now specifically about the rejection as I felt it needed to be discussed with both of them together and this way would be easier, but i had spent time with her, assisting her with her duties and we have gotten to know each other quite well, we never discussed the elephant in the room though, and she understood why. Alpha Sven returned yesterday, and Thomas and I are meeting them both in half an hour to declare my decision and ask for their assistance regarding relocation.
• The cramps continue to plague me, and I am hoping to catch Luna at the end of the meeting to ask if she knows what they could be. I hadn't mentioned it before now, not wanting to be more of a burden or to cause more worry, but the persistence is getting to me, and I need to know more.
• I also haven't seen either Ace or Maddie in the last weeks, which has been wonderful but a little disconcerting, I'm wondering if something has been said to them, their need to control me would not be so easily stifled.
