• "Emma, what are you doing here? Were you listening?" Asher felt rather foolish after asking. The answer was obvious. His mate was there, rubbing her hands together as she looked at him with eyes that almost popped out of their sockets. And instead of approaching her and making her understand once and for all that he was not her enemy, he was questioning her for eavesdropping.
• "No... I wasn't listening, or yes, maybe, sometimes I eavesdrop. It's a bad family habit," she spoke too quickly, nervously, and the blush on her face was very pronounced.
• "Sometimes you eavesdrop and... Did you just do that?" Asher rubbed his nose nervously and looked at the ruined office with shame; he had lost his temper with Alaric. " This, um, we were training and it got out a little out of hand."
