  • Before falling asleep, Emma reread Endora's grimoire, focusing on the part that highlighted the importance of not acting on impulse or instinct. It insisted on the need to always focus on what she wanted to create when using her magic.
  • "I forgot to remember that part when I burned down the cabin and ended up like a homeless woman," she muttered aloud. "In my defense, I had no intention of becoming a witch when I read it. I just wanted to know what happened to you that brought me to this place."
  • She waited to see if Endora's voice would invade her thoughts as it always did, but there was only silence. She began to worry; it wasn't normal for Endora not to manifest in some way after everything that had happened. She also feared for her brother.
