• Emma felt a sudden weightlessness as if her body was suspended in midair, and she also noticed that the unbearable heat from the medallion was gone.
• She struggled to open her eyes so she could look for any sign that her brother was okay, but when she did, a frightened scream remained trapped in her throat. It was not a figment of her imagination; her body was actually floating, slowly gliding towards her room, and to add to her horror, standing before her was none other than the mysterious old woman who had lured her to this cursed town.
