• "Emma, are you okay?" Ethan put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him protectively. They had just left the Asher's house, just like that. Well, maybe not just like that, because Alaric, along with another man just as tall as him and with a less reassuring expression on his face, accompanied them to the cabin.
• "Endora's cabin," the name sounded familiar to Emma, but she couldn't remember where.
• Asher said that these men would accompany them to make sure they didn't get lost and could easily find their way home. Although she believed that wasn't true, and the reality was that they were still being monitored.
