• Emma didn't know what had possessed her to take the initiative and kiss him before he did, but she liked the way she had managed to surprise him. Her body felt different, it hadn't just been the joy that Asher had been looking for her when she couldn't, but that he had accepted her no matter what she had become.
• She had been so afraid of his rejection that she had made sure to reject him first. She knew that one day she would have to explain, she would have to talk to him about what had happened that night and tell him about the fears that had caused her to hide her true self from him, but it would not be right now.
• She knew from Endora that the color of her hair was a characteristic of her family and that just by looking at it they would associate it with the witch, that's why her great-great-grandmother hid it that way, but Asher looked at her as if there were nothing more important in the world than her, as if he had really stopped caring about that part of her. Knowing that he had accepted her gave her the courage she needed to fully surrender herself to him.
