Chapter 32

  • Emma's magic had become completely wild, and he knew that she wasn't faking being unable to control it. No one in their right mind would have caused that fire and shown that terrified expression if it had been an act. The flames had surrounded her in a matter of seconds and were quickly spreading to the rest of the room. This fire had no normal appearance; it moved as if it wanted to swallow everything, burning down any place it touched. But it left a clear path for him to escape.
  • Emma found herself trapped, as if her own power had turned against her. Asher could run to safety and leave her to her fate. He had despised the witch who had cursed them, and even more he hated the witch who would come to restore everything and force him to be bound to her against his will. If there had been another Alpha in his pack at that moment, he wouldn't have fought for his position of power just to avoid that fate. But now that he knew who the witch was, knew her, touched her, and had her beneath his body, defenseless, the thought of never seeing her strange eyes again, of never being able to feel her, tormented him with a pain that made him want to die.
  • She must be a spell, he was sure of it. His true mate must be somewhere he couldn't reach and maybe, to repeat Radolf's story, she would appear when it would be too late and he would be bound to the witch.
