• Isabella awoke with a start to see her grandparents arriving. Jumping up, she hugged them warmly. "I didn't expect you tonight Grandfather! You really mustn't drive so late."
• Her grandfather chuckled indulgently. "Well your grandmother has been cooking up a storm again, convinced you girls are being starved here!"
• Isabella laughed, circling her grandmother affectionately. "Please don't fuss Mima! We eat very well, just tired from studying. Marta and I hope to win that prestigious publishing internship."
