Chapter 21 Travel

  • At ten o'clock in the evening, I boarded a flight to Paris, carrying a multitude of suitcases and a heart full of hope for a fresh start. I spent the entire journey asleep, oblivious to our landing. It was only when the flight attendant called my name that I awoke from my slumber. Upon disembarking, I was greeted by my grandmother's friend, Eugenia, who was accompanied by a young man.
  • "Hello, are you Isabella Sardino?" she asked, holding up a sign with my name. I chuckled.
  • "That was my grandfather's handiwork, wasn't it?" I replied, gesturing towards the poster.
