• A considerable amount of time has passed since the events unfolded, and Isabella hasn't heard from Christian. She hasn't sought him out either, and although Marta continues to work at the publishing house, it's Christie who's in charge now. Despite Isabella's repeated inquiries about her brother, Christie remains tight-lipped, only saying that he's away on a trip. This has led Isabella to conclude that he must have reunited with Adele, which explains why no one knows their whereabouts.
