Chapter 102 Nephews
- I settle into my seat, having splashed out on first class this time. The visit to that doctor was utterly unpleasant; he was adamant about examining me. Thankfully, David accompanied me and I brought in my personal bodyguard, who glared at him as if he wanted to kill him from the doorway when he insisted on examining me.
- David is amusing, to think he went along with the story I concocted and even held my hand. He was more nervous than I was, but there's a lot at stake for him; if someone finds out, he could lose his medical licence. Now, I must let Chris know I'm on the plane. What surprise could he have in store for me? No doubt he'll come with his wife to pick me up.

I can see Adele's hand in many of these stories, especially the one claiming he's engaged. Thankfully, Chris hasn't responded to any of it. Mum must be livid, seething with the desire to give Dad a piece of her mind, and as for that shameless woman – not even worth mentioning. Ha, ha, ha... my brother really pulled one over on them. Why didn't we think of that idea before?
