• Marta lowers her head as she hears Santiago telling his grandfather what she did. She does the same before Mrs Tania and Eugenia, who turn to look at her in astonishment, as if they couldn't believe she was capable of such an act. Santiago, noticing this, takes her hand and kisses it as he says:
• "She saved everyone, Dad," and he embraces her proudly and protectively. "Marta not only killed the man who shot Rodrigo and intended to kidnap the women and children, but she also jumped into the freezing sea to push the raft and bring it to shore. You know very well that Bella can't swim, let alone the children. If it hadn't been for her, they all would have drowned."
