It dawned on Nathalie why Ethan might feel this way. Considering the betrayal he suffered with Elise, it was only natural for infidelity concerns to linger, even though they both knew she'd never hurt him like that.
Nathalie realized she should have been more considerate of his feelings. Despite Ethan's maturity and level-headedness, he carried far more emotional baggage than she did, something easy to overlook given his stoic exterior.
"I love you," Nathalie assured him, leaning in for a kiss. "And just so you know, you're not the only one who feels jealous."
