• Twenty years. That is the total length of time that Trevor will spend behind bars. He has been sentenced to twelve years for his heinous actions against Rosie, in addition to eight years for his involvement in child pornography.
• Even though this is the maximum sentence his lawyer could negotiate, it still doesn't seem long enough. Trevor is also required to cover the costs of Rosie's therapy, as well as the attorney fees for Ethan and Elise.
• It's a troubling thought that Rosie will be around Nathalie's age when her abuser is finally released from prison. Nathalie can hardly fathom how that will affect her. She only hopes that, by that time, she will still be present in Rosie's life—able to support her, talk with her, and ensure that she is okay.
