• "He needs to go home," Nathalie asserted, her voice unexpectedly firm. "He's drunk and not in his right mind. Get him in the car."
• "In the car?" the man standing beside her echoed in disbelief. "Are you serious? This guy just assaulted you! We should call the police!"
• "No, no, no." Nathalie felt uncertain about what she truly wanted but knew she didn't want Daniel to be arrested. "Just... get him in the car. I just... my friends are inside."
