• "Shina!" Nathalie exclaimed internally, unable to digest what her friend had just done. What on earth was Ethan supposed to think now? She had absolutely no intention of hooking up with anyone. This was something more fitting for a teenager attempting to capture the quarterback's attention, not the actions of a grown woman. Ethan would likely reconsider their relationship, assuming any semblance of one still existed.
• "He said he'll call you back," Shina announced, topping off their glasses with more champagne. "That's your cue to decide what you want to say to him. Are you going to keep it cool or pour out your heart with a grand declaration of love?"
