• Nathalie firmly informed Shina, "He's not my guy." She moved past Shina, eager to leave the bathroom and get dressed as swiftly as possible without causing herself additional pain. "He has every right to kiss whomever he chooses. The same goes for you." Although she meant what she said, a hint of annoyance lingered.
• It wasn't jealousy but rather the unspoken agreement she and Shina had made long ago — never to get involved with someone the other had previously dated. Nathalie and Shon had been in a relationship, after all. Shina was well aware that Nathalie had seen him last weekend. Shina had countless options, so why did it have to be Shon?
• "Wait..." Nathalie noticed the blush on Shina's cheeks. "Do you actually have feelings for him?"
