• Nathalie had discovered that the secret to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and a happy existence seemed to be an abundance of intimate encounters. It's tough to feel stressed when you're constantly on a euphoric high or eagerly anticipating the next. She had never felt so exhilarated yet relaxed simultaneously.
• Ethan never informed her when he was coming over, which added a thrilling unpredictability to her life. Her heart would race anytime she returned home or heard a noise near the front door. On weeks when he didn't have his daughter, he would occasionally stay over, but during his time with her, Nathalie saw him much less. She understood and respected his commitment, though she couldn't help but feel a strong aversion to the absence.
