• "Two days ago," Shina replied proudly, flicking her long blond hair over her shoulders with a smirk. "But I'm not saying no if a hottie wants to take me home. You can never have too much fun, Nathalie."
• Nathalie knew Shina meant it. During college, Shina often left her at bars to pursue whoever caught her fancy. She was an amazing friend, but when Shina had an opportunity for a fling and knew Nathalie could handle herself, she'd be out the door.
• They started at the bar, taking a few shots. Once their buzz was strong enough to let loose and dance freely, they moved to the dance floor. Nathalie was ready to unwind. Her feet already ached from the heels, but she wouldn't let that stop her.
