Chapter 88 It's A Boy, My Baby

  • Many days I found my husband staring at me, although I quickly looked away, as his beautiful green eyes made me melt and I couldn't let myself fall into his arms with just a glance. I suppose the hardest moment for both of us was when we turned off the light in our daughter's bedroom, seeing Mark standing motionless in the hallway, watching as I closed the door to the bedroom where I slept. I could see in his beautiful eyes silently pleading for me to come to bed with him, although I always pretended not to understand what he was saying. I preferred to turn around, giving Mark my back and walking slowly to my bedroom, closing the door behind me.
  • The months passed and I had my third appointment with the gynecologist, two months before my baby was due to be born. This time, I agreed to let my husband accompany me, although I had always been accompanied by my mother to previous appointments, without Mark daring to forbid it. When Mark parked the car, we both got out and entered the clinic, heading straight to the reception area where there was always a nurse attending to patients.
  • "Good morning, my name is Sofia Harris and I am a patient of Dr. Caroline, I have an appointment with her today," I said.
