Chapter 22 Mark Harris's Homecoming
- After talking to my mother, we got up from that bench, agreeing that I would call her to see each other again. I knew that Mark had forbidden me to see my family, but I needed to see my parents and my nanny, even if it was just for a few minutes once a month. My mother and I said our goodbyes amidst tears, hugs, and kisses, watching her walk away from my life once again, while I returned home to see my daughter playing with her stuffed animals.
- In the afternoon, Mark still hadn't returned home. I was sitting on the couch reading a book, with my daughter sleeping by my side, when suddenly my phone started ringing. I got up slowly from the couch to not wake up my little one, quickly grabbing my phone to prevent her from waking up.
- "Hello, who is this?" I asked.
