Chapter 102 Birth
- I tried to grab the wooden staircase with my hands as I fell to avoid hurting myself even more, but all I could do was think about my baby, passing through my mind like a fast movie reel. My parents, my husband, our fights, but all I could do at that moment was put my hands on my belly, trying to prevent a hard impact when hitting the ground. I didn't want my baby to be born before its time to see the world, as I had been taking care of it inside me for so many months. I didn't want them to rush to deliver my child due to a bad fall. As soon as I hit the ground, the first thing I felt was my husband's hands caressing my cheeks, while he kept repeating my name. I heard him talking on the phone, calling for an ambulance, but due to the pain I was in, I knew the ambulance wouldn't arrive in time. So, I decided to hold Mark's hand as tightly as I could, so he could help me get up and take us in his car.
- "Don't move, Sofia, the ambulance is on its way," my husband said.
- "They won't make it in time, please help me get to the car, it will be faster, Mark," I pleaded.
