Chapter 26 Clearing Things Up 2
- "Sofia, I desire you like I never thought I would desire any woman. I know you married me out of obligation, but I need you and I can't understand why you reject me. I don't want to force you to kiss me or let me touch you, even though I have every right to demand it because you signed a contract with me. I can only tell you that you fascinate me, and every time I touch you, my desire to possess you grows stronger. But you act like an ice cube with me, and I must tell you that if you continue with this attitude, I will treat you harshly and take what is rightfully mine by force," he said.
- The words "I will treat you harshly and take what is rightfully mine by force" were echoing in my head, making me think that if I had a child with Mark, my life would only be dedicated to my children, and Mark Harris would go back to his playboy life, sleeping with whomever he wanted. I finished showering, feeling like I couldn't breathe. I wrapped my body in a towel from the bathroom, went back to the bedroom and realized Mark had already dressed, as the tuxedo he was going to wear to the reception was no longer in the closet. I painted my face with soft colors, left my hair loose, put on the lingerie, then the dress Mark bought me, slipped on the stiletto heels, and left the bedroom for the living room where I was sure Mark was waiting. When I entered, I noticed he was already there, dressed in his tuxedo and bow tie. I saw Mark hold his breath when he saw me enter, although he didn't compliment my appearance. Instead, he looked away, making me feel he was rather cold towards me.
- "I'm ready, Mr. Harris."
