Chapter 86

  • Jason's POV
  • Because the sun had risen since the previous evening, there was a discernible increase in the temperature of the air. I quickly regret not drawing the curtains or closing the windows since the light is now glaring directly into my eyes, which serves as an unpleasant wake-up call. I also regret not closing the blinds. I rolled over with a grunt and buried my face in the pillow as I turned over.
  • I was able to wake up on my own, after the sun had risen, and without the assistance of an alarm clock, which left me feeling refreshed. In addition, after being by myself for a few nights on the ground, I grew to appreciate my days off much more than I had before.
