• Megan's POV
• He kept turning the different pages through the remaining hours of the night and the early dawn. I observed as his eyes searched through the plethora of names in an effort to discover the person he was frantically looking for. I saw his shoulder droop with each page flip, saddened by his mounting defeat.
• "Why don't you stop for a moment?" The daylight looked through the windows, illuminating Jason even more as it broke past the tops of the trees. My gut turned as I saw that he was coated in dirt and dried blood from his assault.
