Chapter 21

• Young Megan's POV
• I was in the woods, curling up against a tree to shield my body from the chilly breeze. When an important visitor was scheduled to arrive, Alpha informed me that I needed to clean, prepare food, and leave the house before he returned. I couldn't finish in time. Alpha arrived home from his 'delivery pick up' before I had completed setting the table since dinner was taking longer than anticipated.
• "Do what I told you to do," I said. He shut the door hard. "One thing, and you pitiful, helpless, stupidass is unable to do anything! I'm not even sure why I even keep you around anymore.
