• Megan's POV
• As we waited for everyone to come, Alpha was tapping his fingers furiously on the wood behind his desk. I was able to access and see everyone by sitting in a chair that was tucked up in the far corner. The room was full with well-known faces. They were the most powerful warriors, the people I had supper with the night before. Beta Jackson was having a talk with a fresh face.
• A furious man banged the door open and stormed inside. Her face was covered in filth and unmade up, and her golden hair was tangled in bunches. Her eyes skimmed the room rapidly before settling on my body snuggled up on the comfortable chair.
