Chapter 8

Jason's POV
Six days have passed since my last conversation with Megan. I've pleaded with her to join my pack for six days. She wasn't close by, and the long days were making me insane. She often entered and exited the pack house as well as entered the woods while I was watching her. I was going crazy about it.
She can sense my presence around her and I can feel her fierce stare. It gave me shivers and commanded my attention. I felt inspired to stop what I was doing and go see her. similar to how it is right now. I was with my soldiers at the practice field on the fringes of the woods. I was supervising their training and providing feedback on areas where they might improve. I then lost concentration after smelling her. All attention was now focused on her. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see her coming out of the trees. She didn't look up at me as she usually does and continued walking. My wolf moaned, wanting to approach our mate and for her to see us. Jackson returned my contact with an understanding nod. I gave him a shoulder pat and then pursued my partner.
