Megan's POV
What was envisaged was quite different from what really took place, which was a big difference. I was under the impression that I had sufficiently prepared myself for this and that it wouldn't be an overly trying experience. I was able to comfort myself that everything would be OK when Jason repeated himself and stated the same thing. It was far worse than I had expected to be the case.
Yesterday's task wasn't all that difficult. It was at twelve o'clock midnight when he left, marking the beginning of their three-day separation. I was able to push the feelings of isolation and helplessness that I felt in my heart to the back of my mind with relative ease. I am sorry to say that I am unable to repeat that comment today.
