- I hadn't noticed the time slipping away as I lay on the bed, lost in my thoughts when Paul's entrance abruptly disrupted the tranquillity. The sight of feathers adorning his meticulously maintained room caught him off guard. 'And now?' he queried, his gaze flitting around the room with a mix of surprise and suspicion. He gradually shut the door behind him before making his way toward the bed.
- I raised my head to meet his gaze. "Frustration," I replied nonchalantly. His tone turned stern as he pressed further, "About what?"
- "I'm struggling to come up with a suitable reward for you. I've exhausted all my ideas," I admitted, averting my eyes. I heard the sound of his belt being unbuckled, and a sense of unease settled in. I lay there, still and patient, awaiting his next words.
