Chapter 33 Life Goes On
- Doctor Murphy came to the house as scheduled. He seemed to be impressed with my rate of recovery. He had a range of questions for me this time, ultimately boring me with his medical terms and the precautions I needed to take.
- “Doctor Murphy,” I said, feeling irritated with him. “If you want me to make a full recovery, tell Paul to send me home.”
- The colour drained from his face and slowly reappeared. The light coming in from the window was doing very little to assist him in masking his astonishment.
