Chapter 20 Romance
- Paul’s presence was now a regular thing in the house. He had stayed longer than anyone would imagine he would. During the day he would leave and come back in the evenings, just as if he was going to work like a regular person.
- I got used to his varying tempers and voided making him angry, whenever I could see that he was not in the mood to be tested. Sometimes he would return looking rather troubled, then I would need to play the role of the soul soother.
- The passing week weighed heavily on Paul, evident from the visible turmoil he carried. Sam even stopped coming by, as there was a lot going on with the expansion. Paul worked tirelessly during the day, his frustration mounted like a relentless storm, his brow furrowed in a battle against the mounting pressures that threatened to consume him.
