- I can attest that my fear of death had considerably lessened after enduring all that I had with Paul. While his threats held weight, he consistently failed to act on them by taking my life. It seemed his inclination was more towards punishment, and I was determined not to make it easy for him.
- The closet in our room contained only oversized t-shirts and Paul's attire. I explored two other rooms in the house, but their closets were vacant. Frustration washed over me when I realized Paul's intentions.
