• The Meeting
• Mandy’s POV
• As Sarah and I sit on the couch in the study listening to the men. I can’t help but be in tranced. Matteo never lets me hear anything about what is going on in the family. They are discussing known enemies and Matteo seems to have quiet the few of them. They send the occasional questions over mine and Sarah’s way, but just like before I was totally useless. I could sense that every time I spoke it was doing nothing but infuriating Matteo. After an hour went by, I started to lose my interest in the conversation. Thank goodness it wasn’t long after that MJ started to stir in my arms. As soon as the first cries passed through his lips, Matteo shot me a look that made my whole-body tremble to the bone. I quickly excused myself, and got up to leave. Right before I made it to the door, Matteo called out to me. “Be ready to go home in thirty minutes. That should give you plenty of time to feed him. Be downstairs waiting for me.” I responded “yes sir. Then I walked out.”
