• We arrive back home, and our food is already been delivered. I am eager to dig in, so I wash my hands in the kitchen sink, then take my seat at the dining room table. I began to eat slowly just to ensure that I won’t throw it back up. Matteo sits down beside and starts consuming the contents on his plate also. Neither one of us speak a word. Once, I am done I turn to him and tell him. “Thank you for lunch it was very good. This is the first time I have been able to finish off a full meal without getting sick. I was also going to ask you, if you had any requirements for my dress for the retirement party? I’ve never been to anything like this before, so I am unsure of what the proper attire would be. This is the sort of stuff that mother usually would let me know. I’m scared that I will pick the wrong gown.”
