• I sit and listen to everyone talking around me, while still being hid behind Matteo’s shoulder. It isn’t long until Sarah joins us in the living room. When I hear mother greet her, I raise my head up. She flashes me a smile while making her way over to where Carlos is. She takes the empty spot beside him, and leans over and gives him a kiss. If I were a stranger just watching they way these two or with each other, I would think that they were in love. But I know better. I’m sure Sarah does love Carlos in some way, but as far as being in love with him where she wants to marry him, that is a straight up nope.
