  • Wanting Sarah to Stay
  • Mandy’s POV
  • We walk out of his apartment only to me met by the two guys from last night. They follow close behind us as we head to the parking garage. Once we near his car, I see another vehicle pulling up behind us. Carlo climbs out of the back seat and gives a nod to Matteo. “Marco put Mandy in the SUV with Sarah; they can ride together to the store while we talk business.” I don’t wait around for Marco I run over to the same car that Carlo just got out off and jump inside.
  • My door is shut by Marco, who then opens the passenger side door and gets in. I glance over at Mandy who is sitting there with a pitiful look in her eyes. I release a breath I didn’t know I was holding before I start to talk. “What the actually fuck Sarah? What have you gotten me involved in? Why didn’t you tell me that your boyfriend was a thug?” Sarah reaches over and grabs my hand and starts to cry. “I’m so sorry Mandy, he wasn’t supposed to be there last night. That is the only reason why I brought you. I would have never put you in danger on purpose. Hopefully after a little bit of time, Matteo will lose interest in you, and let you leave.”
  • I full on laugh. “Let me leave, I got punished this morning for trying to leave. In case you haven’t heard we’re getting married. So, let me ask you this. Is he serious about killing my dad and you if I run. Is he as big in the mafia that he tells me he is? I need to know my options.”
  • Sarah’s face has gone ash white. She nods her head. “Yes, he will be the next Don. He is one of the most powerful men in this city. If he says that he will kill your dad and me then he will do it without losing any sleep over it. He isn’t the type of person that you want to disobey. You better do what ever he tells you to do. I’m sorry this is all my fault.”
  • We don’t get to talk any more, because we arrive in front of a very expensive clothing store. My door is opened up so I get out. I peek back to Sarah and ask her. “Aren’t you coming in with me. I have to buy a new wardrobe and don’t want to do it alone.” She is quick to answer me. “I’m not sure if I am allowed to or not.” I see Matteo exit his SUV so I waltz over to him and inquire about Sarah staying and helping me. “Can Sarah please go in with me to help me pick out some new clothes, please?”
  • “After your behavior this morning why should I give you what you want?”
  • “I thought the punishment I received from your belt made up for my misdeeds.”
  • Matteo just stood there glaring at me. He began making me feel a little uncomfortable, because now I had the attention of all the men that surrounded him. By the look on his face, I could tell that he wasn’t going to give in, so I did what any girl would do. I begged him. “Please, can Sarah stay. I’m sorry for leaving this morning, I won’t try that again. I’m already nervous about everything and it would put me at ease if Sarah is around. She can also teach me how I’m expected to act. The do’s and don’ts for a woman in the mafia world.” I could tell he liked the idea of me being taught on how to become the submissive wife.
  • After what felt like an eternity, I was just about ready to give up hope Matteo agreed. “I suppose that her staying could benefit. You really need all the help you can get before we go and meet my parents tonight. As long as Carlo gives her permission than I’m not against it. That way Carlo and I can go handle some business while Marco, Aldo, and Angelo stay with the two of you. But let me make one thing clear. If you dare to even get out of their eyesight today, I’ll hunt you down. Then I will go and put a bullet in dear old dads head while you watch. Do I make myself clear?”
  • I nod, as I do I hear Mateo hiss and I realize the mistake I was making. So, I blurt out. “Yes, crystal clear. Thank you very much. What exactly am I buying today? Just a couple of dresses to wear this week, and maybe a couple pairs of shoes?”
  • Matteo huffs out and speaks with an irritated voice. “The first thing you need to learn is how to fucking listen. I’ve told you twice now that you were coming shopping for a whole new wardrobe. That includes everything. I don’t really like pants on a woman, so I want mainly dresses. Some to wear every day, some for clubbing, and some for dinner. Also, you’ll need ball gowns, shoes, jewelry, and purses. Oh, don’t forget under garments, and they all better be sexy. You have a hair, nails, and make-up appointment this evening at 4:30 pm. If Carlo allows Sarah to stay with you all day, I’ll call and book her the same time so she can go with you. There isn’t a spending limit, so you better come home with enough clothes to fill the closet.” He then turns and peeks over his shoulder at Carlo.
  • Carlo agrees that Sarah can spend the day with me which makes me smile. Matteo gives Marco his credit card and tells him. “I don’t have to tell you what will happen if you lose sight of her today do I. Make sure that someone keeps an eye on them at all times. I’ll have Jason pick y’all up at 3:30 pm right here. Remember we have a tight schedule to keep today, so make sure that she’s not late getting to the salon.” Marco responds “yes sir.” With that being said Matteo bends down and captures my lips with his in a searing hot kiss.
