• As the three of us ate, it was silent in the room. Other then Don Mucci speaking to me. “If you like I can have Ann, take the baby while you eat.” I’m quick to respond, “thank you, but I think I’ll just keep him with me.” I give him a smile trying to ease some of the tension in the room. There was no way that I was going to let anyone take MJ from me. After what just happened MJ will be lucky if I allow him out of the house by himself at the age of 20. I laugh inward at my thought. One of the Don’s men comes in carrying bags in both hands and some hanging off of his arms from high end retail stores in the city.
