• Getting Ready
• Mandy’s POV
• The day has finally arrived for the retirement party. I could sense the excitement, and tension in Matteo. He has been in meetings for the past three days solid. Today he is having to meet with his father and all the lieutenants of the family. I only know this because I heard him on the phone. I’m nervous about tonight unsure about what is to come next. I rub my belly, it’s barely noticeable that I am pregnant. I’m still confined to our bedroom. I have memorized every nook and cranny of my jail cell. Matteo bursting through the door catches me off guard so I jump and let out a little yelp. He smirks at me liking how I am still timid of him.
