• Mandy’s POV
• I end the call a lean back in my seat and close my eyes. Trying not to show the panic that has now taken over my whole body. I don’t know how long I shut out my surroundings, but when my eyelids open back up, I look around. When I see rows of houses that are familiar, I tense up. This isn’t the way to Carson’s house. Instead, the way to Matteo’s parents’ house. With a trembling voice I ask Ben the driver, “where are you taking me? I thought we were going to Don Mucci’s house.” He doesn’t answer me. I can’t escape the vehicle because I have MJ with me. There is no way I can jump out of a moving vehicle with him. I swallow the lump in my throat and pick up my phone. I dial Carson’s number as fast as I can. He picks up on the third ring.
