• The maid shows us to our rooms. Sarah doesn’t enter hers instead she comes straight to mine with me. As soon as I get inside, I sit on the bed and start to feed MJ. I take a glance around at our quarters that we will be staying in, for how long I’m unsure. Sarah takes the seat beside me and breaks the silence in the room. “Who do you think those men were in your house? I wonder what they were trying to get into in the Don’s office. It would almost seem that they were after you.” She hushes after that. I just sit there and let what she said sink in before I open my mouth. “You know what sucks the most about this whole thing. If they were after me, then they were only wanting to get their hands on me to use me against Matteo. So, there is no telling what would have happened to me if they caught us. How is that fair. I never wanted to be married to my husband, so why would anyone want to hurt someone innocent.”
