Chapter 30

• I looked at Max, perplexed. I paled and stuttered several times, unable to formulate a word no matter how hard I tried. I tried to find the right words, the exact words for that moment, but it was not possible.
• Max, however, was waiting to hear a response escape from my rosy lips. Both of us were in the shadows and the blue emergency light had suddenly turned on, creating a somewhat dim atmosphere that we didn't care about at all as we were in our own world.
• The shower water kept running, noisy and warm on our bodies. Max stepped back and leaned his back against the wall, with his naked body, looking at me, waiting for a response. I had to concentrate strongly on his face and not look at his intimate parts. It seemed not to matter to him to be naked in front of me. I swallowed hard.
