Chapter 189

• The day dawned and with it the singing of the birds. There was no noise, only that of nature. I sat on the mattress, the sunlight seeping through the curtains and there was so much harmony that even the room radiated warmth.
• Alone. I was alone. Alan was not with me and that feeling of having the freedom to do as I pleased without inconveniencing anyone. I got out of bed and requested room service and a change of sheets.
• The maids and I turned the mattress over when we saw that it was still damp and we arranged everything as if nothing had happened. Having breakfast in bed and everything already done because I didn't want to use Alan's things, I looked out the window at the beautiful landscape until my mind forced me to turn on my phone due to my beautiful addiction to social media.
