Chapter 16

• "Are you going to answer or are you just going to keep staring at the screen?" Max's question snapped me out of the trance I was in. I didn't know what to do, panic was setting in quickly and all I wanted was for him to leave me alone.
• I didn't have her on my schedule, but something told me it was her. No one ever called me, I had no friends, I only had Amanda, my neighbor Hardi, and Max scheduled for today.
• I knew it was her, I knew it was my mother. I was afraid of her, because disobeying her was the worst thing I could do to her.
