The next weekend after the baby showers Elaine indeed visited Victoria with a lot of gifts for her and the baby. Victoria was not comfortable with this, especially because she felt a bad vibes coming from her, she didn’t trust her one bit. “I am sorry for causing you so much trouble miss Elaine, you shouldn’t have bought so many things, we have already got everything sorted, if you font mind, Christian and I will give the things you bought to the poor” Victoria said with an apologetic smile.
Elaine already hated Victoria, but after her statement she hated her more, but she still smiled and said “ It’s okay, I should have asked you before buying anything, it’s all my fault and I am sorry, next time I will call first, even though it won’t be a surprise if you know beforehand” She was smiling but her eyes were cold, this reaction didn’t go unnoticed in Victoria’s eyes but she kept quiet.
Just the Christian appeared and greeted Elaine, “what are you doing here? Since when are you guys friends and even visit each other?” he asked. Elaine was embarrassed upon hearing Christian’s question, she had no idea that he would be home. Victoria maybe be naive but Christian might see through her plans right away.
