Chapter 17

• When Christian woke up he found Victoria sleeping at the edge of his bed while holding his hand. He gently got up and put her to bed instead and covered her with a hospital bed cover. He tip toed around the bed and went outside so he couldn’t wake her up. But as soon as he closed the door they were surrounding him and just starring at him , waiting for his explanation.
• Christian already knew what they wanted to know, and he told them be was not marrying Mara anymore and who exactly Victoria was. “ when grandpa asked me to marry Helena’s daughter, he was talking about Victoria but she had been out if the country for the past four years ” he told them.
• Helena only had one daughter before she got married to Greg, and that’s Victoria. I thought grandpa was talking about Mara all along even though I could see in his eyes that he would always be annoyed whenever Mara was around. It was until I went to pay them dowry that i found out that Victoria was the one grandpa was talking about” he continued.
