Chapter 44

For some time Ruth thought living in the street was better than facing Christian but as time went on she couldn’t take it anymore, she was being beaten every day, it was becoming harder and harder to find food. She was her parents’ princess, she was not used to living like this, having to fend for herself, hunting for food in the dust bins. She had to go back home.
She thought maybe Christian would forgive her if she was smart enough with her apology, it had to be sincere even though it would be fake because there was no way she would apologise to Victoria genuinely. She still had plans to deal with her but right now she was down in the dumps, she needed to go back home , have a was shower and eat her favourite food.
That same day she went home, in the evening. She didn’t want to be seen by outsiders, she looked really bad and she knew she was going to be the laughing if she was seen in public by her anyone, even her neighbours where no better ,many of them hated her because of her attitude towards people. She got home without any of her neighbours seeing her but she didn’t anticipate being seen by Christian’s men. She thought she was safe because she had no idea anyone saw her.
