Chapter 36

Ruth’s parents prayed that she would not be found , they saw how angry Christian was and they feared for their daughter’s safety. Even though they knew that she was wrong, she was still their only daughter and they didn’t want anything bad happening to her. They just hoped she would reflect on herself and repent wherever she was.
Christian’s men looked everywhere for Ruth but they still couldn’t find her, even after a month. Victoria asked him to stop looking, she thought it was probably not worth it to look for her and she wouldn’t come back. And true to her belief it was very quiet and peaceful for a while. No one was budding in their relationship and this is when Victoria found out that she was two months pregnant, she hadn’t been paying attention because of the chaos caused by her step father, Ruth and Victor.
Christian was over the moon, he was so happy that he was going to get a chance to take care of his wife during her pregnancy, and that he would be present when his child was born. He wanted to do things differently. Old Mr and Mrs Chadwick wanted the Victoria and Christian to move back in to the Chadwick residence and they were not taking no for an answer. It was final.
